Live On-Location Portrait Event with Rick Friedman
Join us for this informative, interactive workshop with pro photographer Rick Friedman. Rick will be demonstrating how to utilize speedlight flashes with wireless triggers. He will also teach how many of the wireless flash systems operate, as well as a demonstration of a couple different shootingtechniques. You will have a chance to see all the cameras and lenses we sell here in the shop in a live photo shoot and then take turns trying out the equipment yourself. You will learn which lenses should be used in portrait settings and how to get fantastic portrait shots. Models will be present to pose for portraits and create a professional studio shooting experience. This is also a great event for those of you who are experienced in shooting both in-studio and on-location portraits.

Este taller de 3 días centrado en el vídeo da la bienvenida a los viajeros experimentados que buscan saborear sus aventuras o a los que acaban de empezar a explorar el mundo del vídeo. Este taller está diseñado para darte las herramientas y técnicas para dar vida a tus viajes en la pantalla. Analizaremos todos los aspectos, desde la grabación de impresionantes secuencias de vídeo hasta su edición para crear historias cautivadoras. Al final de este evento, no sólo tendrás una visión más clara de tus videoblogs de viajes, sino también las habilidades para hacerlos brillar.

Rick Friedman’s Private Class: Creative Fast Lighting
As a magazine and corporate photographer I am often required to produce creative and interesting lighting in a very short period of time. On most of my assignments, I do not have the luxury of scouting locations and pre-planning the lighting. I have to go to the location, usually chosen by someone else, quickly determine what is the most telling photograph and create interesting light. A single still photograph, has to tell the story.
In this hands on, private class we will be photographing models and using the equipment I use on assignments. I will share how I interact with subject to get the photograph needed in a very short period of time.
We will go over how you plan for the unpredictable assignment, making sure you have everything you need, without have too much equipment. As I often work alone, there are times, too much equipment can get in the way of the shoot. We will set up scenarios, create and light the photographs and pose the subject. We will be working with strobes, continuous light, soft boxes, strip lights, grids, color gels, smoke machines.
At the end of this “Private Class”, you will have new photographs to add to your portfolio. This Private Class is perfect for portrait, corporate, event, wedding photographers and photojournalists. Any job where things are unpredictable and change quickly.
