July 20, 2015, Commack, New York – Tamron USA announced the promotion of Suzanne Palermo to Western Regional Sales Manager effective July 7, 2015. Suzanne will take on the full responsibilities of Ruth Cox who has retired from the industry.
Suzanne Palermo, hired by Tamron as a company representative for the Tamron dealer network in Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico in 2013, has a strong sales and management background, spending much of her professional sales career with consumer electronics manufacturers and retailers.
Palermo was previously Director of Sales/Western States for Pioneer Electronics where she supervised sales professionals covering 24 western states. During her two-decade tenure at Pioneer from 1988 to 2010, Suzanne was responsible for defining, implementing, and managing new and existing corporate sales strategies in support of Pioneers corporate vision. She worked to support 240 direct customers and achieved significant goals by developing innovative sales programs focused on meeting customer needs and directing sales force to identify and nurture key customers within the core market areas.
Prior to her start with Tamron, Palermo was the Western Regional Sales Manager for the Mobile Electronics Commercial Division of Best Buy where she was responsible for delivering against key metrics of new business sales development, profitability, and margin performance across the Western United States. Her corporate responsibilities included managing a high performance sales team, training, inventory control and contributing to retail store deliverables including staffing, productivity, utilization and store market planning.
