Ken Hubbard

Ken Hubbard is the Field Services Manager for Tamron Americas, where he’s spent more than 25 years helping photographers get the most out of their gear, improve technique as well as their creative vision. He leads photography education, field programs, and consumer workshop initiatives across North America, connecting with photographers of every skill level.

Ken’s path wasn’t traditional — he studied communications at New York Institute of Technology before working as a product photographers and digital lithographer at a professional printing firm, building a deep, hands-on understanding of image quality, color, and final presentation. That foundation still shapes his approach today, giving him a full-circle perspective on the creative process, from capture to print.

Based on Long Island in New York, Ken leads workshops across North America covering everything from camera and lens fundamentals to landscape, travel, wildlife, macro, and portrait techniques. He is also the creator and producer of Tamron University, Tamron’s free online masterclass platform, connecting photographers and filmmakers with experienced professionals.

A dedicated landscape photographer, Ken has spent decades shooting across the U.S. — including  many of the national parks — building a rich body of work capturing the country’s landscapes and changing light. His portrait and landscape work has been featured in gallery exhibitions nationwide.

Through his blog contributions, Ken shares practical guidance, real-world lens expertise, and insight drawn from decades in the field, his printing background, and his experience teaching photographers at every level.
