Alyce Bender
Alyce Bender is a professional nature and wildlife photographer and Tamron Americas Ambassador focused on providing photographic education and experiences. Based in the United States, she is passionate about connecting people with the natural world through photography, conservation, and meaningful outdoor exploration. Her work encourages photographers to create compelling images while practicing ethical wildlife photography and responsible stewardship of the environments they visit.
As an experienced educator and photography tour leader, Bender leads workshops and guided adventures through A. Bender Photography LLC that help photographers strengthen their technical skills, expand their creative vision, and develop a deeper understanding of wildlife behavior and natural history. She also presents educational programs for photography organizations across the country, is a contributing writer and photographer for the Journal of Wildlife Photography, where she shares expert insights on photography techniques and fieldcraft, and a partner photographer for the non-profit Girls Who Click where she mentors young women entering the field of conservation and nature photography.
When she’s not leading tours or teaching, Bender enjoys discovering wild places solo and inspiring others to experience the beauty of nature through photography with her fine art collections. Through her contributions to the Tamron blog, she shares practical tips, field techniques, and creative inspiration to help photographers of all skill levels capture compelling images while fostering a greater appreciation for the natural world.
