Notice About Update of Compatibility Issue With Tamron Lenses And Nikon Z8 Camera

We have updated information on the issue with Nikon Z8 body (Ver. 3.00) used with certain Tamron lenses posted on July 1, 2025. We are pleased to inform you that we have confirmed that the combination of Tamron lenses with the Nikon Z8 updated to the latest firmware (Ver. 3.01) will operate normally. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers using the Nikon Z8 body. We sincerely appreciate your continued support of Tamron products.

We have confirmed that our lenses used with the Nikon Z8 camera that has been updated to the latest firmware Ver. 3.00 do not function properly. We are currently conducting verification and will provide updates on this support page as soon as they are available for each lens model. Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron products, Thank you for your continuous use of Tamron products. This notice is to inform you that we have confirmed the following issue with our 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD  (Model A057Z) when used with the following Nikon mirrorless cameras. Cameras of concern: Z6III, Zf, Z9, Z8 Issue: When both the camera’s “Vibration Reduction” and “Electronic Vibration Reduction” are turned on, the stabilization does not work correctly. In this case, please set the camera’s “Electronic Vibration Reduction” to “OFF” for the stabilization to work correctly. We are currently addressing the issue and plan to resolve it through a firmware update. The firmware update can be performed using the “TAMRON Lens Utility”. Further details will be provided on our “Support Information” page at a later date.
